India and Japan cooperate to promote high-end office furniture in India

With assets of US $ 2.6 billion, the Indian Godrej Group, which operates in the real estate and refrigerator industries, recently launched high-end office furniture products in the Indian market. This move will enable the group's flagship store Godrej & Boyce to provide excellent high-end brand office furniture products for the Indian local market.

"We will first sell imported furniture products under the brand name of Itoki in Japan, because this brand is very famous. Then we may join some of Godrej's cooperative brand products." Godrej & Boyce flagship store chief operating officer AnilSMathur said. Itoki's furniture products follow the principle of combining universal design and environmental protection design, and are committed to creating an innovative environment.

The Itoki brand was founded in 1890 and has now successfully entered China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, and even the United States, Australia, and some Gulf countries and regions.

Godrej Group is still in talks with Knoll in the United States on cooperation and alliance. Knoll enjoys an international reputation for its creative office space design. Its products include office systems, chairs, folders, storage systems, tables, textiles, and home accessories. The company's products have been exhibited in many famous art museums, of which more than 40 have become permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

"We are in discussions with Knoll executives," Mathur said. Godrej Group regards design as an important product indicator. At the same time, the group also decided to develop its products in the direction of ecological friends. At present, the group provides a series of green office furniture, some of which have passed the Greenguard Environmental Institute (GreenguardEnvironmentalInstitute) certification.
