Iskar introduces the IQ five-point double-end thread cutter (DECA-IQ-THREAD), a new vertical clamping thread insert with 10 cutting edges.
The unique patent-protected IQ pentagonal double-ended thread cutter (DECA-IQ-THREAD) has a circumscribed circle with a diameter of 16 mm and a pentagonal blade with 10 cutting edges. The new design geometry inserts are more economical per cutting edge than the usual three-blade flat-fit threaded inserts. The new insert features the universal alloy grade IC908. This new threaded insert has a significantly longer life than the mainstream thread insert manufacturer's.
The operator does not need to completely remove the blade locking screw to perform the indexing operation on the other four cutting edges. Therefore, the blade indexing is simple and convenient, and truly realizes “no downtimeâ€! The body of the new threaded insert is designed with an internal cooling channel for both conventional cooling and high pressure cooling.
