Intelligent Building Sunshine Tracking Setup Analysis

Depending on the latitude and longitude of the building, you can use the software to calculate the solar elevation and azimuth angles for different seasons and at different times, and store the results directly in the motor controller. The motor controller automatically calculates the sun angle corresponding to it and automatically flips the blade to a suitable angle to block the direct sunlight at a set angle.

Set up sunlight tracking

(1) According to the shape and orientation of the building, set a number of reference points on the facade of the building, and perform four-day sunshine analysis on the reference point;

(2) Using LONWORKS software to calculate the elevation angle and azimuth of sunlight at each reference point in different seasons and at different times according to building orientation and height;

(3) Store the calculation result in the LONWORKS motor controller and run it automatically;

(4) At any time, flip the angle of the blade to prevent the sunlight from directly entering the room and at the same time extend the angle as much as possible, maintain a good visual effect, and let natural light reflect to the interior ceiling.

Calculate building shadows to shading
During the operation of the sun, the building itself casts a shadow on the neighboring buildings, and the surrounding tall buildings may also block the building. The shaded windows do not actually need to be shaded, otherwise the room will be darkened and therefore need to be level or retracted.

(1) Build models based on floor plan and elevation maps;

(2) Using the elevation angles and azimuths of the various reference points just calculated, calculate the shadow changes for each day and year based on the shadows of buildings around the building and their own shape and orientation;

(3) Once calculated, these data are recorded in the LONWORKS shutter controller;

(4) At different times, the louver controller automatically knows which reference points are under the shadow according to the stored calculation results, and flips the blades to the horizontal position so that more light enters the room.
