A new plastic package with both passive and active barrier functions was developed at Huha2mah in the UK. The package is effective in inhibiting oxygen permeation. This barrier-function plastic package not only extends the shelf life of the product, but can also be used directly in microwave oven heating, especially for convenient food packaging. The new package is made up of 6 layers of different materials.
