Engineering plastics for the automotive industry or the fastest growing sector

The amount of engineering plastics has become an important indicator to measure the level of development of a country's automotive industry. The level of plastic consumption in China's auto industry is far lower than that of similar foreign industries.

At present, in the electrical market, the products with large consumption of engineering plastics are mainly low-voltage electrical appliances, connectors, energy-saving lamps, computer peripherals, communication equipment, office equipment, and small household appliances, including household food machinery. Among the fastest growing are computer monitors, mobile phones and cell phone batteries.
In the machinery industry, engineering plastics used in power tools have always had an absolute advantage, about 50%. Like the manufacture of hardware tools, it is impacted by recycled materials. With the gradual standardization of the market, the inspection system is becoming more and more perfect, the reputation mechanism and quality awareness are constantly increasing, and the usage of this market will increase substantially.
The application of engineering plastics in the building materials industry is mainly based on PC board. The heating room, lighting corridor, dome, courtyard lighting, community signage, road signs, billboards, light boxes, telephone booths, vending machines, etc. all use PC board, road noise isolation. The board is also processed using PC sheet. The electrical switch is more personalized and high-grade, and a large amount of engineering plastics are used for manufacturing. In terms of fittings, nylon will replace metal as the primary connector as the use of plastic tubing increases. In addition, the aluminum alloy door and window insulation strip will use PA66 in large quantities.
Engineering plastics are currently not used in the packaging industry. Traditional products include 5-gallon water bottles, travel mugs, baby bottles, microwave ovens, and food packaging containers for homes and restaurants. With the continuous improvement of social living standards, people's requirements for packaging will become higher and higher, and the use of engineering plastics in the packaging field will further increase.

With the development of digital information, the consumption of discs for information recording is quite large, and the application of digital cameras and recorders is also increasing. In recent years, with the development of the optoelectronic industry, the number of urban and rural color TVs has increased greatly. The VCD and DVD markets are amazing, and the prices of VCDs, DVD players and discs are getting cheaper and cheaper, so almost every family can afford them. The market for optical discs is a huge boost.

CuW alloys are used where the combination of high heat resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion are needed. Some of the applications are in electric resistance welding, as electrical contacts, and as heat sinks. As contact material the alloy is resistant to erosion by electric arc. WCu alloys are also used in electrodes for electrical discharge machining and electrochemical machining.

As copper and tungsten are not mutually soluble, the material is composed of distinct particles of one metal dispersed in a matrix of the other one.
