This paper reviews the technical status of PCBN at home and abroad in recent years, the important progress made, the bottlenecks encountered in domestic research and production, and the future efforts. The status quo of domestic technology and the bottlenecks encountered include: firstly, the quality and quality stability of raw materials cannot be controlled; secondly, the synthetic pressure and temperature homogenization technology needs to be improved after the expansion of the synthesis cavity; thirdly, the degree of fine control of the process technology needs to be improved; The fourth is that product serialization research needs to be strengthened. In general, the development of domestic PCBN composite sheets has not been very smooth in recent years, but the overall PCBN blades have developed rapidly. The integral PCBN insert can be processed intermittently, and it encounters sand and white mouth without chipping. It is especially suitable for roughing and semi-finishing. The depth of the knife is not too limited. In theory, the entire blade can be eaten. The integrated PCBN insert can be used for heavy-duty, intermittent, low-speed machining on ordinary and cumbersome machine tools, and can also be used for high-speed machining in CNC lathes and machining centers.
