"China Shoes Safety City" successfully settled in Rui'an

On July 13th, the "China Shoes Capital (Ryan) Safety Shoes Famous City" declared by the Rui'an Leather Industry Association to the China Leather Association passed the evaluation of the expert group and became Rui'an City, which later became the production base of Chinese casual shoes and China (Ryan) rubber shoes. After the famous city, there is another gold name card for the national shoe.

On the day of the assessment, the China Leather Association commissioned the Wenzhou Shoe Industry Association to set up a special evaluation team to conduct the assessment. After seven experts from the China Leather Association Vice Chairman and Executive Chairman of the Wenzhou Leather Industry Association Xie Yufang, “China Shoes Capital (Ryan) Safety Shoes City” successfully settled in Ryan.

According to Chen Zhongwang, secretary general of the Shui'an Shoes Industry Association, the “China Shoes Capital (Ryan) Safety Shoes City” preparations began as early as 2010 and formally applied to the China Leather Association in April this year. The safety footwear industry is one of the main economic industries in the footwear industry in Ruian. In recent years, it has grown rapidly. The size of the company has grown from 2 in 2001 to 42 at present.

In 2011, Ruian's production of safety shoes reached more than 33.12 million pairs, and the industrial output value reached 2.45 billion yuan, of which the export value exceeded US$350 million. The products are exported to Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, South America, and Southeast Asia. In terms of product grade, the proportion of products whose export unit price exceeds 20 U.S. dollars accounts for about 45% of the total export volume, and the export unit price of some products is even as high as 50 U.S. dollars. Safety shoes are also increasing year by year, and they have evolved from high-tech content, light weight, comfort and versatility, from a single safety function to leisure sports.

“Whether it is a gold business card or a silver business card, it is crucial to continue to improve the grade of safety shoes.” Xie Yufang and other experts hope that Ruian City will strive for safety every year after receiving the honor of “China Shoes Capital (Ryan) Safety Shoes City”. The quality of shoes has been further improved. At the same time, he also recommended safety footwear production enterprises in Rui'an City to build a public technology platform, focus on upgrading product quality, increase research and development, and develop in the direction of high-tech content.
