1. Always keep the motor clean. When the motor is running, the air inlet must be kept clean. Do not allow dust, water, oil and other debris to be trapped inside the air inlet at least 3 meters to prevent inhalation into the motor. If the dust, oil, and water are sucked into the interior of the motor, a short-circuit medium is formed, which damages the wire insulation layer, causing a short circuit between the turns, an increase in current, and an increase in temperature to burn the motor. Therefore, to ensure that the motor has sufficient insulation resistance, as well as a good ventilation and cooling environment, the motor can be operated in a safe and stable state for a long time.

2. Work at rated current. The main reason for the overload operation of the oil pump motor is caused by the excessive load of the drag, the voltage being too low, or the mechanical jam caused by the drive. When the motor is running under overload conditions, the speed of the motor will drop, the current will increase, the temperature will rise, and the winding coil will overheat. If the overload is long, the overloaded motor will absorb a large amount of active power from the grid, and the current will increase sharply and the temperature will increase. The insulation aging of the motor fails at high temperatures and burns out. This is the main reason for the burning of the motor.

Therefore, in the operation of the motor, it is necessary to pay attention to checking whether the transmission is flexible and reliable, and check the tightness of the transmission belt, the concentricity of the coupling, and the flexibility of the gear transmission. If there is any jamming, stop it immediately and find out the cause and then run it.

3. The three-phase current must be balanced. For a three-phase asynchronous motor, the difference between the current of any one of the three-phase currents and the average of the other two-phase currents must not exceed 10% to ensure safe and normal operation of the motor. If the current value of the single phase and the average value of the other two phase currents exceed the specified limit, it indicates that the motor is faulty. The cause must be identified and the fault can be continued before the operation is continued. Otherwise, the fault range will be enlarged, resulting in an accident of burning the motor.

4. Maintain normal temperature. Always check the temperature of the bearings, stators, housings, etc. of the motor for abnormalities, especially for voltage-free, current and frequency monitoring facilities and motors without overload protection. Temperature monitoring is especially important. If the temperature rise near the bearing is found to be too high, stop immediately and check the bearing for damage or lack of oil. Whether the bearing rolling element and the raceway surface are cracked, scratched or damaged, whether the bearing clearance is too large, and whether the inner ring rotates on the shaft or the like. When the above situation occurs, the new bearing must be replaced before the operation can be carried out, otherwise the bearing will be further damaged and cause collapse, causing the broom to burn the motor.

If the temperature and temperature rise of the motor meet the specified requirements, a thermometer can be inserted at the motor sling and fixed with a cotton lump to observe the temperature of the motor at any time.

5. Observe the presence of vibration, noise and abnormal odor. If the motor vibrates, it will cause the load part connected to it to increase in different degrees of heart, so that the load of the motor increases, the load current rises, and the temperature rises to burn the motor. Therefore, when the motor is running, it is necessary to check whether the anchor bolt, the motor end cover, the bearing gland, etc. are loose, whether the connection device is reliable, and the problem should be solved in time.

Noise and odor are precursors to the abnormal operation of the motor and serious faults. It is necessary to find out and find out the cause in time to eliminate it. Otherwise, it will delay the opportunity and expand the fault, resulting in a major accident that burns the motor.

6. Ensure that the startup device works normally. The technical state of the motor starting equipment is decisive for the normal starting of the motor. Otherwise, it is easy to burn when the motor has not entered normal operation. Practice has proved that the vast majority of burnt motor accidents and causes are on the starting equipment, such as phase loss start, contactor contact arcing, sparking, etc. The maintenance of the starting equipment is mainly cleaning and fastening. If the contactor contacts are not cleaned, the contact resistance will increase, causing heat to burn out the contacts, causing phase loss and burning the motor. Corrosion and dust accumulation on the core of the contactor's suction coil will cause the coil to be loosely sucked and emit strong noise, increase the coil current, and burn the coil to cause a malfunction.

The electrical control equipment should be placed in a dry, ventilated and easy to operate position, and should be regularly dusted, dustproof measures should be taken, the screws of each wire should be tightened, the contacts of the contactor should be inspected for good and reliable contact, and the mechanical parts should be sensitive and accurate.
