The largest cross-section rectangular pipe jacking machine developed by Komatsu and Shanghai Machinery Construction Co., Ltd. has successfully passed through the entrance and exit of No. 3 Pudian Station of Metro Line 6 Line.
The newly developed rectangular pipe jacking machine has the characteristics of large cross-section design, variability and asynchronous propulsion. At present, two technologies have obtained national patents. The cross-sectional size of the pipe jacking machine is .27m wide, 4.39m high, and the mainframe length is 5.2m.
The performance characteristics of the equipment are earth pressure balance type; it has good waterproof performance; it can be constructed in underground ground layer of ≤15 meters.
