Shijian Company actively promotes nitrogen protection welding process of stainless steel pipe

In July, during the peak construction period of pipeline construction of Anhui Huashi Engineering of Ten Jian Company, in order to improve the welding quality and construction progress, they actively promoted the nitrogen protection welding of stainless steel pipe, and received good results. The qualified rate of one-time welding reached more than 98%. And nitrogen is cheaper than argon, and it is estimated that the entire project can save more than 60,000 yuan in cost.

Since Li Yinzhong, the chief engineer of the 10th Anhui Huasu Engineering Project Department, was established in early July, after seeing information on the protection and welding of stainless steel tubes in the network, they actively organized technicians, management personnel, and welding experts to promote nitrogen in stainless steel tubes. The feasibility of the protection welding in this project was scientifically demonstrated. They believed that the Anhui Huasu Engineering Pipeline Welding had a total of 110,000 inch diameters, and the stainless steel welding had a total of 60,000 inch diameters, reaching 55% of the total welding volume, and the pipe material was suitable. The use of Tantalum N2 gas shielded welding will take precedence over traditional argon-filled welding processes, both from welding quality and project cost accounting.

For this purpose, the project department organized all electric welding operators on the site to conduct special training on nitrogen protection welding technology in stainless steel pipes. The technician, Guo Jianwei, who has been working for many years in welding, combined with slides on the technical requirements and precautions for nitrogen protection welding in stainless steel pipes. Explained.

After several days of theoretical training, the welders performed welding practices on the prefabricated site. The pass rate of one inspection was 98%. At present, the tenth-build Anhui Huasu Engineering Project Department is implementing stainless steel pipe welding with nitrogen in a large area.
