ASO solar fuses are designed to provide protection for photovoltaic systems. This fuse provides safety protection against photovoltaic modules and conductors from reverse overcurrent conditions.
With the development of the scale of photovoltaic systems, the corresponding voltage requirements are also increasing. Generally speaking, the purpose of increasing the system voltage is to minimize the power loss caused by long-distance transmission. Standard circuit protection devices do not provide complete protection for photovoltaic panels. However, ASO solar fuses are UL safety certified and can safely block faulty circuits under these harsh voltage conditions.
SCHURTER offers 13 different ampere ratings to meet the specific needs of various applications, such as inverters and battery charge controllers, or as embedded fuses or string fuses. PCB versions and bolt contacts are also available upon request. In addition, SCHURTER also offers a suitable touch-safe fuse holder (FSO) and fuse clip (231660).
