PPG Group announced that it has completed the entire equity transfer to Bicheng Fiberglass Co., Ltd., with a total transaction income of nearly US$170 million.
Bicheng Glass Fiber Co., Ltd. is 50% owned by PPG Group and Nanya Plastics Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Formosa Plastics Enterprise Group. It was jointly funded in 1987. The company's first pool kiln is located in Chiayi County, Taiwan. Subsequently, in 2001, a new tank kiln was built in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, China to cope with the growing market demand.
The main product of Bicheng Glass Fiber Co., Ltd. is electronic fiberglass cloth, which is mainly used in the production of integrated circuit boards and various types of glass fiber reinforced plastics. It is widely used in the automotive industry.
