The "Strategic Study on Expanding the Application of Aluminum and Promoting Cyclic Development" was approved by the State Council counselor's office.

On January 15, 2015, the State Council Counselor's Office organized experts in Beijing to examine and accept the topic of “Strategic Research on Expanding the Application of Aluminum and Promoting Cyclic Development” undertaken by the China Nonferrous Metals Association. The acceptance meeting was chaired by Wang Weimin, deputy director of the State Council's Counselor's Office. Chen Jinyu, director of the State Council Counselor's Office, Zheng Hu, counselor, Zhang Yantong, director of the counselor's office division, and experts in the aluminum industry participated in the inspection. The vice-chairman of the military literature made a report on behalf of the research team. The State Council counselor, Chen Quanxun, president of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, and the research team of the research group participated in the report.

The purpose of this project is to find out the focus of resolving the excess production capacity of electrolytic aluminum and provide direction for industry transformation and upgrading under the new normal, so as to provide basis for further national policy support.

Experts of the acceptance group believe that the data provided by the project is complete and reliable, and the proposed key areas can be used as the focus of the expansion of aluminum applications. The topics combined with the current policy environment and relevant recommendations put forward in key areas are feasible and operational. The project successfully completed the plan and achieved the intended purpose.

It is reported that next China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association will focus on "innovation and driving forces for improving the quality and efficiency of aluminum industry development." The purpose of this study is to analyze the development process and major nodes of China's aluminum industry and summarize The internal and external influences of the development of the industry, combined with the current new normal, put forward the focus and policy recommendations for improving the development quality and efficiency of the aluminum industry.
