Proper Installation of Steel Column Radiators
1. Begin by opening the packaging of the steel column radiator. Install the bleed valve and the union fitting first to ensure proper airflow and connection.
2. When installing the steel radiator, take into account the thermal expansion and contraction of the heating pipes, which can affect the stability and performance of the unit. Make sure the installation allows for some flexibility.
3. Refer to the installation diagram or our company’s guidelines to mark the positions for the special wall hooks on the wall. This will help in securing the radiator correctly.
4. Use an electric drill to create 12 holes in the wall. The depth should be sufficient to accommodate the expansion tubes, and the outer edge of the tube should align with the wall surface.
5. Insert the expansion tubes into the drilled holes and make sure they are securely in place.
6. Attach the bottom mounting hook and tighten the screws as needed to ensure a stable base for the radiator.
7. Place the steel elliptical radiator onto the installed bottom hook. Adjust the position of the upper hook if necessary. Once everything is aligned, tighten the clamps and secure the expansion screws. Always position the vent valve at the top for optimal air release.
8. Assemble the pipe joints and install the pipes according to the provided diagrams. Connect them to the inlet and outlet ports. Ensure that the back of the radiator is 3.5 cm away from the wall and 5 cm from the corner line for proper ventilation and aesthetics.
9. Fill the system with hot water and open the bleed valve until all air is released and water starts flowing. This ensures the radiator operates efficiently.
10. During operation, the working pressure must not exceed 0.12 MPa, as specified in the user manual. Exceeding this limit may damage the radiator.
11. The oxygen content in the heat medium should not exceed 0.05 grams per square meter. High oxygen levels can lead to corrosion over time.
12. The water used in the radiator should have a pH level between 9 and 12. This helps protect the internal components from rust and degradation.
