According to the Swedish "Daily News" reported on the 24th, Sweden's Saab Automobile Company (SAAB) will launch the world's first car with no exhaust emissions next week.
The fuel used in this 9-3 convertible is 100% ethanol (E100). This is the world's first eco-friendly vehicle with zero emissions.
The 9-3 convertible sedan is the result of a joint effort between the company and the Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden and multi-parts suppliers. Since the late 1990s, Sic Bo has been engaged in research and development of cars using alternative fuels. The company has invested heavily in research projects called “Green Carsâ€. Already listed eco-cars, such as 9-5 Biopower, use 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline blended fuel (E85), which is currently the best-selling eco-friendly sedan in the Swedish market.
