Analysis of hardware and electronic machinery industry leveraging high-speed rail "seeking" transformation

At the 2010 Cross-Strait Three Hardware Industry Summit Forum held by the 11th Western China Expo site, Wan Guan Hardware & Electromechanical City, experts and entrepreneurs from home and abroad discussed the future of the hardware industry.

"Hardware and electromechanical is the screw of industrial development. Without this screw, the whole industry will not be able to rotate." said Wu Shichuan, the founding president of the National Association of Industry and Commerce Hardware and Electrical Machinery Association.

The upgrading of industrial products has prompted the transformation of the hardware industry. "Not only is the railway shifting to high-speed rail, many products are in the advanced stage." How to extend from the selling of raw materials and the most basic processing bases to downstream industrial chains with high added value? This is a matter for hardware companies to think about. Wu Shichuan said that integrating resources to make high value-added products is the only way for the future development of the hardware industry.

"Hardware and electromechanical industry should also use modern technology to operate with an e-commerce model." Yang Chun, chairman of the Golden Abacus, believes that the hardware and electrical machinery industry will move toward socialization and online merchandising. China’s first full-scale e-commerce platform for hardware, machinery, and electronics, “Universal Health Network,” was launched on the 25th. The site will integrate professional e-commerce operations and real-estate market management into a unified hardware and electromechanical display transaction platform in Western China.

At the seminar, Zeng Honglian, General Manager of Noble Torque Tools, said: “The core of the company’s long-term industrial chain is technological innovation, and the ultimate goal of development is to establish its own brand.”

This view was approved by Wu Shichuan. “Sichuan is a major province of hardware production. Rich resources and a good atmosphere are advantages. In the new round of western development, Sichuan should develop its own technology to create its own brand and aim at producing high value-added products.”

Chen Qinghua, chairman of the leading company in Sichuan's hardware industry, disclosed that the "China Hardware & Electrical Aircraft Carrier Fleet" strategic plan to be launched by Wan Guan is a development path integrating the production, sales, and logistics of the hardware and electromechanical industry.
